Why Alchemy?

In antiquity, alchemy was a practice that brought together various fields of knowledge, such as chemistry, philosophy, spirituality, and mysticism. The alchemical process was full of symbolism and stages (calcination, dissolution, separation, and conjunction of opposites) to create something entirely new and superior. The ultimate goal of alchemy was the philosopher's stone, which turned lead into gold and could grant eternal life.

Although times have changed, we preserve desires and habits from these ancient societies. In recent years, working with tarot and sporadically with energy therapies, the topics I heard about most were related to prosperity (work, money), beauty (love, travel), and children—one of the closest ways we have of ensuring that something of us reaches a life greater than our own existence.

The journey I have undertaken—to expand my spiritual and therapeutic practices to reach other people—is a reflection and part of a movement I have been developing for a few years, a self-knowledge that surpasses the limits imposed by rigid dogmas. Where the goal was to break down that which constitutes subjectivity, I dared to allow myself the middle path. And that is how I discovered integration, or in other words, the alchemy of myself.

I have gently accepted and incorporated the role of a master (beyond academic means) and have allowed myself to let go of my judgments while working with the various women who meet with me and my mentors. Channeled through holistic techniques and tarot cards. And I witness the alchemy of others: suffering becomes wisdom, fears are worked on to make room for care, and stubbornness opens up to become perseverance. I watch women becoming alchemists of themselves by allowing a connection with the mysteries of spirituality, the frequencies and energies that heal, the words and memories that allow us to embrace both yesterday and today.

And it is through this transformation that we can accept both anger and kindness, to see and act with courage even while feeling fear. The heavy lead becomes dense, shining gold when we open up and allow ourselves this slow process of becoming authentic in a new way, which allows us to trace and walk new paths.

Alchemy is, therefore, a conscious choice. Something of Hermeticism and antiquity, in a post-industrial and individualized society. In a period where "value" refers only to the financial aspect of something, what is the disruptive resource we can draw from a conscious existence and transformation process? What is the internal movement we can make in the face of life's imposed difficulties, which ennobles our spirit, slowly and gradually, in contrast with the abrupt overcoming demanded?

In the end, those people who propose to visit their own shadows and reflect come into contact with their own mercury (the mind, the god—also known as Hermes and the element, all in one); to transform, first and foremost, spirit (sulfur) and body (salt). These are the principles of alchemy.
